Objectives
During the CAnD3 program, I plan to achieve a few milestones:
- reproducibility project in R
- produce policy briefs
- produce data analysis and visualizations for the Dragon’s Den
Reproducibility project in R
This exercise helped to learn best practices in how to prepare documentation for academic papers and code in R for reproducibility.
For this project, the code used data from GSS 2017 and analyzed shared domestic tasks among heterosexual and same-sex couples it using R. One master (shell) file runs all of the scripts, which are located in the ‘src’ folder, and creates tables, which can be found in ‘output’ folder. The replicator should expect the code to run for a few minutes.

Producing Policy Briefs
Together with other team-members from CAnD3–Trinity Lakin, Sophie Liu, and Sagi Ramaj–we created a policy brief about social housing. The full text of the brief can be found here.
